How Korean BBQ works at Meokja Meokja
Korean BBQ is cooked at your table. You pick raw cuts of pork or beef, they go on the grill in front of you, and everyone at the table shares. Most tables order two to four cuts and add a side or an extra like cold noodles or kimchi fried rice to round out the meal.
If you are new to it, start with one unmarinated cut and one marinated cut. The unmarinated meat shows off the quality of the pork or beef, while the marinated cuts bring the sweet, savory flavor most people know from bulgogi and galbi.
Pork and beef cuts explained
Here is what each grill cut is and how it eats, so you can order with confidence.
| Cut | What to expect | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Thin-Sliced Pork Belly | Unmarinated, cooks fast and turns crisp at the edges | $14 |
| Thick Pork Belly | Unmarinated, juicy center with a crackly outside | $14 |
| Pork Neck | Leaner than belly with a firm, chewy bite | $14 |
| Spicy Pork Belly | Belly coated in a red pepper marinade | $14 |
| Marinated Pork Ribs | Sweet soy marinade, caramelizes on the grill | $14 |
| Unmarinated Rib Fingers | Well marbled beef from between the ribs | $14 |
| Thin-Sliced Brisket | Paper thin beef that cooks in seconds | $16 |
| Bulgogi | Marinated sliced ribeye, sweet and savory | $18 |
| Short Rib Galbi | The classic, marinated or plain | $22 |
| Seasoned Rib Tips | Rich, seasoned beef with plenty of flavor | $25 |
| 16 oz Prime Ribeye | The premium cut on the menu | $40 |
Combo prices per person
Combos bundle several cuts at a set price. The table below splits each price by the number of people it serves, which makes it easy to compare.
| Combo | Size | Price | Per person |
|---|---|---|---|
| Combo 1 | Regular (2) | $60 | $30.00 |
| Combo 1 | Large (4) | $118 | $29.50 |
| Combo 2 | Regular (2) | $68 | $34.00 |
| Combo 2 | Large (4) | $136 | $34.00 |

Combo 1 is all pork and the cheapest way to eat. Combo 2 mixes brisket and pork belly with bulgogi and galbi. The Prime Combo and the Meokja Combo both include Prime Ribeye, and Derek's Choice is built for big parties and birthdays.
Extras, sides and weekday specials
Extras like Cold Noodles, Spicy Cold Noodles, Seafood Pancake and Kimchi Fried Rice with Cheese are $18 each and easy to share. Cold noodles are a popular way to cool down after grilled meat. The Classic and Vegetarian Lunchboxes are $15.
Every side is $5: Soybean Soup, Kimchi Soup, Corn Cheese and the Angry Egg. On weekdays you can also order the Beef Intestines Combo ($50) or Cow Tongue ($18).
Soju, beer and Korean drinks
Soju is the usual partner for Korean BBQ. Classic bottles are drier and stronger, while flavored soju is sweeter and lighter. Makgeoli, a milky rice wine, and Bokbunja, a berry wine, are good picks if you want something different.

| Classic soju | Chamisul Original, Chamisul Fresh, Soonari Chum Churum, Jinro is Back, Saero | 16.0% to 20.1% |
