What meokja means
Meokja (먹자) is Korean for "let's eat." Say it twice, meokja meokja, and it becomes a friendly call to the table. That idea sits behind the whole restaurant: a place where friends and family sit around a grill and eat together.
Where to find us
Meokja Meokja is at 9619 Fairfax Blvd in Fairfax, VA, near Fairfax Circle. Look for the green awning with the Meokja Meokja Korean BBQ sign. Walk-ins are welcome, and you can call (571) 459-2875 to check availability.
How the grill tables work
Every table has a built-in grill with a steel vent hood above it. You order raw cuts of pork or beef, they arrive at the table, and you cook them the way you like. Sides, extras and drinks come out alongside the meat.
What to order on your first visit
Start with one plain cut and one marinated cut, such as Thick Unmarinated Pork Belly ($14) and Marinated Sliced Ribeye Bulgogi ($18). Add Corn Cheese ($5) on the side. For two people who want a bit of everything, Combo 1 ($60) covers five pork items.
When to visit
The restaurant is open Monday to Saturday from 5 PM to 10 PM and Sunday from 12 PM to 10 PM. If you visit on a weekday, you can also order the Beef Intestines Combo and Cow Tongue, which are served on weekdays only.
